And, most importantly, to foster proper respect for the profession and the role of an architect in the modern world among young professionals, who are just starting their careers. The founder of the School of Chief Architect Timur Abdullaev is talking about the emergence of the idea of an international cooperation program and the reasons why India has become the starting point.
Having vast experience in project work in Yekaterinburg and continuously inviting various foreign experts I realize that our country and our city are developing in the overall system of global architectural and cultural space.
For this reason, continuous exchange of knowledge and competences with foreign experts underlies the dynamic and successful development process. The program of visit to India is a logical continuation of the School of Chief Architect activities, as it is crucial for us to learn from the architectural and urban development experience all over the world.
India is one of the most dynamically developing countries, but at the same time, it is one of the least known: a completely different culture, different traditions and views. During School of Chief Architect 3.0, which took place in Yekaterinburg in September last year, we had many foreign experts and students. An Indian architect Rajendra Kumar was one of the educational program tutors, and he managed to establish warm relationships with all the participants. And it is no wonder, as the School of Chief Architect brings together and unites tutors and participants, regardless of countries and nationalities, into one big friendly family, and no one wants to part.
'So why part?' we thought. During SCA 3.0, we reached an agreement about a friendly visit to India for the SCA team, consisting of SCA organizers, participants and SCA partners. It is not a tourist trip because it will involve interesting professional communication, introduction to new projects, visits to architectural educational institutions, SCA exhibition opening in New Delhi. A whole week of exciting events and new acquaintances for young professionals. On top of all this, it involves participation of professional architects and representatives of developer companies on both sides. And this is just the beginning! Consequently, we are expecting a return visit from our Indian partners to Yekaterinburg. I believe this program will set the stage for a new direction for the School of Chief Architect, expanding the opportunities for the participants and erasing the barriers between countries and continents.
We have said our goodbyes to 2017, which was fruitful, eventful and unbelievable! In 2018 School of Chief Architect has already prepared more surprises and unforgettable events for you: On January, 20, we are embarking on a week-long trip to India, where we are planning to expand the architectural horizons of our participants and share our best practices with foreign colleagues. For those who have been waiting for SCA 4.0, we are happy to announce that you can apply for the new season starting from January 1, 2018, at our official website www.arch.school! You can also study the results of SCA 3.0 in February 2018, at Yeltsin Center, Yekaterinburg. And, most importantly, in 2018 the School of Chief Architect moves beyond Yekaterinburg!
